Course Description: Say “YES!” to children’s adventurous play by discovering the value of risk-taking in children’s physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. Investigate risky play categories, adult approaches and influences on children’s risky play, and safety measures necessary to implement meaningful learning experiences that will engage children’s senses and abilities in safe, yet exhilarating ways.
This training is approved in Minnesota for early childhood educators/child care providers and meets the Child Development and Learning/Behavior Guidance requirement for Family Child Care. If you are located in another state, please contact me for proof of participation options.

Course Description: Reflect on the exciting opportunities for children’s exploration and learning that can only be found in the great outdoors! Explore important safety considerations and supervision needs that exist within the environment, including playground equipment and materials, as well as the variables and hazards unique to family childcare settings. Create a plan for safety and supervision while promoting children’s health and well-being in outdoor play spaces.
